Who are you?
I am a transformative ray of light and, sometimes, cosmically choreographed chaos. My name is ERIEL INDIGO. I’m a music artist, creative director and spirit sparker.
Where do you live?
I reside in a magical little fairy paradise tucked in the Hollywood Hills of Los Angeles, California.
What do you do?
I create hip-hop and dance influenced electro-pop, hyperreality music videos, and speeches/prose on revolution, evolution, spiritual introspection and emotion.
When did you start?
Long before this lifetime, my friend.
How was your first show/performance?
Well, I was a child, so I don’t really recall, but I can tell you that performing has always been a great source of anxiety and ecstasy for me, so I’m sure it rested somewhere amidst the two.
What would you like to gain from your work?
I personally use my work to process my own experience of my travels through light, darkness, and everything in between.
What would you like your audience to gain from your work?
I suppose it depends on the piece, but I aim to rile up, set free, spark curiosity, cause connection, inspire, uplift or evoke raw emotion.
Who or what are your biggest influences?
Artists of all genres who push buttons that beg to pushed, ask questions that ache to be asked, contrarians, sacred clowns, heyokas, aliens, angels, freaks and fairies amongst men. All those who were told: “Don’t say that! Don’t do that!” and did anyhow.
What keeps you up at night?
Simply being me. I’m rather nocturnal. As for good things that keep my mind going: new music video ideas, creative downloads, writing…
What’s next?
Dropping the full GALACTIVATE album, making more music, learning Abelton so I can produce my-darn-self, releasing and creating more videos, hopefully touring after the album drop, directing and editing other artists’ videos, getting better, working harder, surrendering more.
