Rap, produce, eat.
I started freestyling back when I used to breakdance and paint in high school. I wanted to be a DJ, but I couldn’t afford turntables, so I started rapping. But I’ve only really taken it seriously for the last couple years.
It was horrible. I’ve always been bad at public speaking, so I have no idea why I decided to be a rapper. It was a show with a lot of young and local emcees. I got through to the second verse in the first song and just froze—I couldn’t remember the words—so I freestyled the rest of the song. It was pretty bad… [laughs]
The ability to share my music with more people.
I would like them to find the inspiration to follow their passions, whatever they might be.
Musically: Dilla, Common, Kanye, Q-Tip and De La Soul. Personally: My mum, my brother and my girl influence and inspire me all the time.
Time and my lack of it.
