Who are you?
Herman of The IinTerCepTerZ, Grimm Image Records and K-Kidz.
Where do you live?
Somewhere beautiful in California.
What do you do?
I make music and play shows for living.
When did you start?
I started making music when I was 7 years old…I’m 20 now. I’ve made it my career and job.
How was your first show/performance?
My first show was really good: I thought it wouldn’t be, but it was. I had a great time rockin’ the stage at Alisal Cellars in Solvang, California.
What would you like your audience to gain from your work?
A taste of some real hip-hop from a young mind always on the grind. A lot of people never see cats my age doing what I do and doing it for real.
Who or what are your biggest influences?
I’ve got many. I’d have to say Guru, Myka 9, Ceschi, Acee-ville, DJ Press, Bob Dylan, DJ Premier and A Tribe Called Quest.
What keeps you up at night?
My fans, my brotha Acee-Ville and shows stay keeping me up at night. It’s hard to not be busy sometimes but, hey, it’s my life.
What’s next?
My new record just dropped, we’ve got the new IinTerCepTerZ album, Learn The Letters, coming soon and the Learn The Letters tour. A lot of good stuff going down. It’s a grind, but we’re making it happen.
