Who are you?
My name’s Gajah. I’m a Los Angeles, California, based hip-hop artist, Project Blowedian and co-founder of the group Acid Reign.
Where do you live?
I’m currently stationed in the suburbs of L.A. County, just east of downtown.
What do you do?
I create and innovate cutting edge music that I have total control over.
When did you start?
My journey began in 1993, but I didn’t take my music serious till 1995.
How was your first show/performance?
[laughing] It was horrendous like most peoples’ first show. The first step is always the hardest for a newborn emcee.
What would you like to gain from your work?
Ultimately, I would love to gain a massive fanbase from my art. Financial stability will come with that.
What would you like your audience to gain from your work?
A relative sense of hope. Every word that I write is real, and most people appreciate that. We’re all in the struggle together.
Who or what are your biggest influences?
My mother was a big influence on me growing up; she’s the humblest woman I know. Musically, artists like Frank Zappa, Nico and Squarepusher had a heavy impact on me.
What keeps you up at night?
Coffee, compulsive thinking, movies and Modern Warfare 2. [laughs]

Infinite possibilities, ground breaking projects, LPs, EPs and more touring.
